| Have you ever wanted to hear Paramahansa Yogananda chanting? Well here is your chance! This CD is unique and extraordinary. When Paramahansa Yogananda chants, he chants with God. Listening to this CD is an experience - about tuning in; it is not some technically brilliant performance, but about the sublime connection between God and Guru. As you listen, it becomes about Guru and devotee.
With the exception of "Song of India", these selections were recorded during impromptu gatherings at the Self-Realization Fellowship's international headquarters in Los Angeles, under conditions far removed from those of a professional recording studio. However, sound quality and clarity have been enhanced through the use of modern technology and equipment. The chants on this CD were originally recorded on 78 rpm records as two separate albums: Songs of My Heart and Chants and Prayers. Each chant lasted about 3 minutes, but due to requests for longer renditions, several of the recordings have been lengthened by repetition to several minutes.
Bonus: A great CD Cover!
