When we first saw
snowflake obsidian gemstones we knew we had to make them into a mala. Combined with contrasting
red Malaysian jade, the result we think you'll agree is striking.
We use the traditional count of 108 beads, divided into groups of twelve by contrasting red Malaysian Jade gemstones, chosen for their beauty and specific vibratory qualities (see below).
All our malas are designed to look good and to make counting mantras or
Kriyas easy. You will never go back to counting on your fingers! You will notice that we don't use a silk tassel at the end, which tends to get worn and raggedy, but prefer to use a "Guru" gemstone bead as is the custom in India. These not only look better, but will last forever.
