When we first saw these gemstones we thought them so attractive and unusual that we had to find them and make a mala from them. The result is rather striking and unique. The 108 snowflake obsidian beads have a rich, solid feel to them. Every twelfth obsidian bead is followed by a beautiful translucent red Malaysian jade (Malaysian jade is actually dyed quartz) gemstone, that not only looks different but feels different, thus allowing the meditator to concentrate on the meditation technique and not on mentally counting. The end Guru Stone is a perfectly sized round snowflake obsidian gemstone.
