This is the most perfect and luxurious meditation blanket available to the serious yogi.

Hand-made in India to the highest standards, one family makes these blankets exactly according to Paramahansa Yogananda's instructions for meditating. He advised, "It is good to use a woolen blanket or silk cloth (or both, with the silk on top) to cover your meditation seat. Drape the cloth over the back of the chair if a chair is used, and place one end of the cloth on the floor under your feet. The cloth helps to insulate the body from subtle earth currents. Their magnetic downward pull toward material perceptions is undesirable for the meditating devotee." This blanket combines all of the qualities needed for a good meditation, except devotion and concentration, which are extras not supplied!

The wool and silk are very high quality, as is the stitching and border.

I purchased this meditation blanket along with several other items from Supreme Swan and I love them all. I was particularly impressed with the workmanship and gorgeous hue of my blanket.
