Our
Rudraksha and
Turquoise mala is a perfect blend of ancient tradition and contemporary style. Our rudraksha beads are high quality and are imported from India. The turquoise gemstones are known to help dispel negative energy and calm the nerves, so rudraksha and turquoise make a natural and beautiful combination.
This attractive Rudraksha mala, which we hand-make, consists of the traditional count of 108 beads, divided into groups of twelve by contrasting faceted turquoise gemstones, which not only look different but feel different, allowing one to concentrate on meditating and not counting. After using these malas, you will never go back to counting on your fingers!
You will notice that we don't use a silk tassel at the end, which tends to get worn and raggedy, but prefer to use a "Guru" gemstone bead as is the custom in India. These not only look better, but will last forever.
We make all our malas ourselves to ensure quality and
that they start out with a peaceful vibration, not that of a restless factory. A subtle yet conducive energy can be felt when wearing or meditating
with these malas. Each one is not only a work of art, it is made to wear and
use daily. Wear it comfortably to meditation, the yoga
studio, to the opera, - anywhere you want to look and feel good!

We also offer a matching rudraksha with turquoise wrist mala
in two sizes.

of their electrical and magnetic properties, which can stabilize the body's
electrical and nervous systems. Rudraksha has the ability to Change its
polarity. Various literatures mention that Rudraksha beads have powerful anti-aging
properties. The ancient yogis of India considered rudraksha beads to be holy,
and claimed that when worn directly in contact with the skin, they convey to
the body helpful electromagnetic influences. To see wandering sadhus and swamis
wearing rudraksha beads is a common sight among the holy places in India.
Rudraksha beads are from a large evergreen broad-leaved tree
which grows in the area from the Ganges Plain in the foothills of the
Himalayas, and in Nepal. The term Rudraksha (Rudra i.e. Shiva + aksha i.e. eye)
means, "the eyes of Lord Shiva."
