Red Agate mala, which we hand-make, consists of the traditional count of 108 beads separated into groups of twelve by contrasting, faceted carnelian gemstones, chosen for their beauty and specific vibratory qualities (see below). The gemstones we use shine with an infinite variety of rich amber brown hues. Although one of our most simple malas, it is one of the most popular and affordable.
All our malas are designed to look good and to make counting mantras or Kriyas easy. You will never go back to counting on your fingers! You will notice that we don't use a silk tassel at the end, which tends to get worn and raggedy, but prefer to use a "Guru" gemstone bead as is the custom in India. In this mala we use a beautiful 20x16 mil faceted, oval Agate stone.
We make all our malas ourselves to ensure quality and that they start out with a peaceful vibration, not that of a restless factory. A subtle yet conducive energy can be felt when wearing or meditating with these malas. Each one is not only a work of art, it is made to wear and use daily.
