Each Kriya mala is lovingly crafted by devotees, using very high quality materials. Our unique malas are not only works of art; each one is specifically designed to impart a specific healing or spiritual quality. They can be worn with equal comfort to meditation, the yoga studio, or to the opera. Above all, they are made to wear and use daily – they will not break. We don’t use silk tassels at the end, which tend to get worn and raggedy, but prefer to use a ‘Guru’ gemstone bead as is the custom in India. These not only look better but will stay that way.

Each Kriya mala consists of 108 gemstones, separated in groups of twelve by contrasting beads that not only look different but feel different, thus allowing the meditator to concentrate on the meditation technique and not on mentally counting. After using these malas, you will never go back to counting on your fingers! Each type of gemstone used has been chosen for its beauty and specific vibratory quality. A subtle, yet conducive energy can be felt when practicing Kriya Yoga with these malas. For every gemstone Kriya mala we offer a matching wrist mala in two sizes: lady’s and men’s.
