The Crescent Meditation Cushion is our best-selling cushion - perfect for meditating comfortably in the lotus or half-lotus position. It is designed to support the thighs while easing pressure on the knees
and hips. It is comfortable, sturdy, looks good, high quality and well priced. There are cheaper cushions available but with meditation cushions you get what you pay for. We have opted for this particular cushion because we have used it in meditation every day for almost ten years, and it is still like new.
Constructed with medium weight cotton canvas
and stitched with nylon thread for strength, this cushion is made to last.
A nylon web strap
enables the cushion to be easily grasped for quick transport. There is a
6 inch velcro opening at the side to access the interior, allowing for
customized adjustment of the loft of the cushion.
We provide two different fillings for comfort and support -
Buckwheat Hulls:
Buckwheat filled crescent cushions stand about 4 inches tall. They
are lightweight, very malleable and conform easily to a comfortable
sitting position. Buckwheat filled zafus are popular with beginning meditators since the
cushion allows for ample support that is easily adjustable during
meditation sessions.
Kapok: (+$10.00)
Kapok filled crescent cushions stand
about 5 inches high and provide a firm support without being
uncomfortably hard. Kapok, a natural fiber filling, resembling milkweed, is harvested in
warm climates like Mexico, Malaysia and Samoa.
